Meet Dr. Pozenatto: "Dr. P"
Dr. Ricardo Pozenatto is the founder and instructor of Pozenatto Piano Studio. He has taught private piano lessons to students of all ages for over a decade. He has also taught college music students, at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, he completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Faculdade de Artes Alcântara Macahado, in São Paulo. Once in the United States, he completed three graduate degrees: a Master of Music in Instrumental Collaborative Piano Performance, at Lynn University (Boca Raton) and a Master of Music in Piano Performance at Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton, FL). More recently, he graduated with a final degree from Florida State University, completing a Ph.D. in Music Education with focus on Piano Pedagogy.
As a musician, Dr. Pozenatto has performed in piano recitals in Tampa (Florida) and São Paulo (Brazil). As a presenter, he has appeared in sessions at local, state, national and international music conferences, such as the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, in Lombard (Illinois) and the Encontro Internacional sobre Pedagogia do Piano (International Meeting on Piano Pedagogy), in Brazil.
Dr. Pozenatto holds membership with the Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Additionally, he serves as the Coordinator of International Engagement for the Frances Clark Center for Keyboard Pedagogy, and is a Suzuki Piano Teacher Certified (Filosofía and Book 1).
